Definitely its own page, just like how we don't add Mac OS 9.2.2 compilations that work in previously-unsupported hardware to the main Mac OS 9 page. This is better for keeping things clean and organized, and is easier to troubleshoot (and I'm sure a lot of troubleshooting will be necessary for that one). But I must say, what a breakthrough.

If anyone else found that one could not connect using ftp after Tiger, the following may be the issue. Starting with Tiger, I guess, the fields for passive ports in the settings uses the systems international settings, which here in Sweden, for example, means that port 1030 to 1035 becomes 1,030 to 1,035. The server, naturally, dislike the use of a port such as 1,030. These settings can be changed manually in the Terminal by sudo-editing the file /etc/pure-ftpd/pure-ftpd.plist. You may have to restart the server after the change, and it will then work as expected. The author says this will be fixed in the next release.

Can anybody here post updated instructions to handle a Mac located in a NAT'ed network. For the life of me, I can never seem to find the active/passive component of FTP working properly in a NAT'ed network. I promise, I will share the hint on my own page if I get it to work easily. G

Late reply... You need PureFTPd to announce the public IP when entering into Passive mode. For a NAT with single public IP, that's no problem. PureFTPd handles this as long as you do the proper port mapping in the router. But when you have multiple public IPs NATed to an inside DMZ with private IPs, you need to tell PureFTPd what IP to announce. This setting already exists in the plist settings file but is still not exposed in the Manager as of 1.6.3.

So you have to edit the file /etc/pure-ftpd/pure-ftpd.plist manually to add the public IP of your server:
